If in the FP1 session, Johann Zarco was still using the initial aero-body design (check the second image below) and had not used the Honda RC213V with the second Homologation aerobody, but at the end of the Pre-Qualifying Practice session yesterday the racer used it on the track, especially at the end of the session. This makes him officially the first Hodna racer to homologate a second aero design for this season.
Johann Zarco’s first Aero-Body RC213V

If you see, the difference between the second Aerobody design which is actually similar to what they previously tested at Jerez and Mugello with the first Aerobody design (figure 2) is quite large, especially in the Side Fairing.

The second aerobody design presents a different Sidepod, coupled with a combination of Downwash duct application and Ground effect details on the side fairing. Also changes to heat exhaust air duct ventilation.

Plus, the Rear aerodynamic design now uses a detailed cylinder model on the back seat and an aero goal model instead of the stegosaurus-style combination of fins in the first design.

If you look, the exhaust pipe has changed quite significantly. The shape of the exhaust, which was designed together with HRC and Akrapovic, is shorter and smaller than the first model, both on the rear exhaust and the lower exhaust. It looks like there is a change in the power and torque bands made by the hrc of this exhaust

because Honda is included in class D in the 2024 MotoGP Concession, each Honda racer can independently homologate the Aero-Body Design twice throughout the current season. Zarco, who has already done 1 Aero design, still has one more design left that he can homologate. However, if he homologates the third new design later, one of the previous aero designs must be removed from the allocation
