Luca Marini did get a bad report card in his first 5 races with the Repsol Honda Team at the start of the 2024 season. From these results, after the 5th Series at the French Le-mans, it was rumored that Marini was looking for an Exit Point to be able to get out of his contract clause with HRC Honda. . . This rumor is spreading and has changed the escalation of the 2025 racer line up speculation in general. . but recently he denied these rumors.

In Nico Abad’s interview with him at the Dainesse event, Luca Marini said that he would not part with Honda! Valentino Rossi’s younger sister said to Nico “That I want to leave Honda is unreasonable, I don’t know who said this, that I was never really sure about staying at Honda. We worked hard and I am very happy now”

Since the VR46 Ducati Marini has been known to have a special technical sensitivity regarding motorbikes and even Johann Zarco called him: A kind engineer. Generally in the Reosol Honda paddock they say that he is a genius and if Honda listens to him, they might get a good motorbike in the future, but it takes a process. .

“Sometimes Honda riders don’t give the same instructions, but that doesn’t mean one contradicts the other. Each rider has their own way of explaining the sensation. I think it’s time to explain where I’m the best in this matter. That’s what happened and I understand what the engineers told me.”
