We have previously discussed in the previous article that if Ducati does not find a solution to the rear wheel Chatter quickly, then in the midst of the skyrocketing performance of Aprilia and KTM (GasGas), Ducati’s potential champion could be threatened. And in this article we will try to reveal one additional signal that might be the culprit for the Desmosedici Chatter, especially this GP24.
Ducati Leadership Has the Potential to Collapse Due to ‘Luxury Problems’ : Chatter
In the previous article, we revealed that Michelin is presenting a new front and rear Slick tire compound solution that is more durable and has less temperature changes in slipstreaming and of course also increases tire rubber grip. And indeed the addition of tire grip due to this new compound is logically accused of being one of the causes. .
However, it is clear that in this case Ducati cannot blame Michelin because Michelin has clearly made this Compound Solution for all Manufacturers without any choice and previously they have also announced this Solution and have even given all Manufacturers the opportunity to try it beforehand… After all, the aim is Good for Prevents extreme temperature changes due to Downforce and Slipstreaming
One of the additional indications that we got from Luis Zuniga’s Siniar Chat is that Ducati has allegedly changed the degree of inclination of their V4 engine platform to be much more tilted towards the rear.
This can be seen from the two pictures above where the top picture is a photo of the two bolts on the V4 Desmosedici GP23 engine which are still parallel to the bolts on the swingarm. . Meanwhile, for the Ducati Desmosedici GP24 motorbike, an example of which was obtained from the Sepang test. . The two lines on the two rear engine cylinders now look more slanted towards the rear. .
A comparison of these two machine images means that the Desmo GP24 machine is tilted more towards the rear which results in the load falling more towards the rear with the initial aim perhaps being so that the rear tire (rear-end) gets additional grip. .
However, when the load is increased, the quality of the Slick Michelin rubber grip also increases. . So according to us this makes Grip redundant. . and at the end produces Chatter.
The question. . Can Ducati reverse this situation by turning the engine forward? According to the regulations, as long as the machine itself is not tampered with, it seems like this can be done in the middle of the season. .
However, if this is really the cause and We are sure that Ducati has already complained about something as simple as this, but it hasn’t been done yet then we are trying to empathize that it seems like the overall motor balance problem needs further setup than just turning the engine a few degrees to the front and Ducati is thought to be working on a solution which is balanced going forward.
