Ducati and specifically Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali and Ducati Corse director Luigi Dall’Igna are facing a “luxury issue” regarding the choice of future teammate Pecco Bagnaia for the 2025 season. With talents such as Jorge Martin, Marc Marquez and Enea Bastianini showing form extraordinary, the decision will certainly be difficult.

Ducati has assured that they will wait for Mugello. CEO Claudio Domenicali, who was present at the Monster Senna presentation in Imola provided an update on ‘Corriere della Sera’. “This is a complex situation in a positive sense: the work we have done in the past with the drivers has produced a lot of talent.

“Every choice we make will attract criticism, but it has to be done. Internal competition is also a stimulus to improve motorcycle. In the past we chose other dynamics, taking first and second riders, but it didn’t work out. Having two competitive drivers helps keep the level high. Today we saw the best Pecco, the best Jorge, the best Marc and the best Enea.”

Will the Clue ‘Reaping Criticism’ refer to phenomenal decisions such as those taken without just looking at the performance results and the driver’s position in the standings? BTW, in the last interview with Canal+ after the Friday Session of the Catalunya MotoGP 2024, Pecco Bagnaia said honestly that his partner preference in 2025 is Enea Bastianini
