Before anything was official for Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez in 2025, Pecco Bagnaia was asked about the potential of these two racers if they joined him. And at the press conference, Pecco said that he had no problem with who would join and whoever entered was determined to beat them. But how will Pecco respond once this all becomes official? Where now Marc Marquez will be his partner in the 2025 season and Martin will move to Aprilia.

In an interview with Motogp.com, Gigi Dall’Igna – General Manager of Ducati Corse, explained how Pecco Bagnaia reacted to Marquez’s arrival. “Pecco’s reaction was very good. He is a professional racer, a champion, and he knows that we want to maximize our chances of winning the world championship,” said Gigi.

“He would like to have Enea as his teammate, but in the end, he is a professional racer and he understands our decision. He didn’t push us in any direction”, added Dall’Igna. But combining two strong riders with a collection of 11 World Championship titles will raise concerns about the potential for in-stability and harmonization within the team and of course concerns about the Desmosedici being ‘damaged’ because of the Marquez-centric view of what has happened at Honda for 11 years.

Dall’Igna admits that maintaining harmony is a challenge, but he remains confident. “We have to be good enough to achieve this. It won’t be easy, but I know the team and the people who work there. By collaborating as we have done so far, we can make it happen,” he said.
