KTM has officially announced a new rider line-up for Red Bull KTM Tech3 from 2025: Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales. In the new era of KTM’s presence in factory MotoGP in the 2025 season, the latest Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad will change its name and equip the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team with orange. Bastianini and Viñales will be equipped with full factory KTM RC16 machines in 2025 as part of a multi-year agreement and will form a Red Bull orange quartet with stars Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta in adjacent setups at Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.

Bastianini made his World Championship debut ten years ago on a KTM RC4, having previously also won the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup (RBRC). He achieved six wins and more than 30 podiums in Moto3 and Moto2 through a seven-season training phase that culminated in his victory in the 2020 Moto2 World Championship. The Italian rider stepped up to MotoGP in 2021 at the age of 23 and has recorded six wins and 12 podiums during his career. three and a half years in the division to date.

Already a race winner in 2024, and the first rider in the MotoGP era to achieve victory with three different manufacturers, Maverick Viñales brings tremendous experience and talent to the team. The racer with number 12 was also KTM’s second Moto3 World Champion in 2013. Four seasons in Moto3 and Moto2 resulted in four consecutive top three finishes. He joined the premier class in 2015 and recorded the first of his 10 MotoGP wins to date the following season. Viñales has achieved 35 podiums in the premier class and collected two championship bronze medals during the decade. He has won at least one Grand Prix in seven of his ten years in MotoGP.

Nicolas Goyon, Tech3 Racing MotoGP Team Manager: “We are happy to announce that Enea and Maverick will be with us next year and our return to KTM. We can’t forget our first win in MotoGP achieved in orange! We cannot hide our pride that these two talented riders have decided to ride our bikes. This shows that we have followed the right path, and our technology can fight at the forefront for the championship. We would like to thank Pierer Mobility AG for the quality of their support. Our collaboration has reached its highest level this year and I am sure it will continue to grow in the future. We would also like to thank Red Bull for their dedication with us. We have a clear commitment to winning and that is why Enea and Maverick decided to join this program.”

Pit Beirer, Director of KTM Motorsports: “We are very pleased to be able to bring Enea and Maverick into our MotoGP project and provide full support from the team to continue to pursue their targets and achieve their maximum performance. It’s clear that we’re talking about two of the fastest riders in the world right now and it’s a compliment that they trust us and the first-class operation we’ve created with Red Bull KTM Tech3. The team label for 2025 says it all: it’s time to strengthen the KTM name again and we can’t think of a better way to provide more value to the company than for Enea and Maverick to wear the orange Red Bull jersey. Let’s get on with the rest of 2024 now and then look forward to a fresh start for next year.”
