45 minutes First Session of FP1 MotoGP Class in the Third Series of the 2024 Season which took place at the CoTA Circuit on a dry track with a track temperature of 33° C. In the first 15 minutes Maverick Vinales set the benchmark with 2:04.575 followed by Miller and Binder. The track itself, seen from several On-Board Videos, shows that the racers still have some Bumpy left on parts of the circuit.
The record for this circuit is 2:01.892 held by Bagnaia in the 2023 Qualification. Entering the 25th minute Marc Marquez on soft-medium tires led the team sheet with a lap time alone of 2:04.499. In the 29th minute, Jorge Martin took the lead with 2:04.297. At 33 minutes Jack Miller led with a 2:04.210.
In the 38th minute Acosta led with 2:03.802 followed by Marc Marquez. 40 minutes Vinales on soft Medium tires recorded 2:03.818 and shifted Marc Marquez from second position to third position temporarily. 42 minutes Vinales leads the timesheet with 2:03.377. In the final seconds of the session, several racers were still doing time attacks. .
And after 45 minutes with 2:03.294 on Batman’s helmet, Maverick Vinales emerged as the fastest in the 2024 CoTA America MotoGP FP1 Session. Jorge Martin was in second place followed by Pedro Acosta and made three different manufacturers present in the Top-3 of this first session.
