Pecco Bagnaia deserves the Man-Of-The title of the Jerez 2024 MotoGP race, won the Dog-fight with Marc Marquez in the 2024 Jerez MotoGP race and won the race which broke the all-time attendance record at MotoGP with 296,741 spectators throughout the weekend. In general – until the 4th series of the 2024 season – Bagnaia won for the second time with the Qatar Series. This is Ducati’s 90th win in MotoGP and Bagnaia’s 20th win in MotoGP, all with Ducati, three wins less than MotoGP legend Casey Stoner who is the most successful Ducati rider in his class. This was Pecco’s 30th GP victory and Pecco’s 60th GP podium throughout his career.

With Bagnaia, Marc Marquez, Marco Bezzecchi, Alex Marquez and Enea Bastianini, this is the first Ducati 1-2-3-4-5 since Germany in 2023. For Bezzecchi himself, finishing P3 is his first podium in 2024 and his first podium again since winning raced in India last year. This is Bezzecchi’s ninth MotoGP podium.

With Bagnaia winning ahead of Marc Marquez and Bezzecchi, Ducati recorded a record 50 consecutive MotoGP Grand Prix races with at least one rider on the mPodium. Ducati is now the fourth manufacturer to achieve this in the premier class along with Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha.

Marc Marquez finished P2 for his first podium since finishing P3 at the Japanese GP last year. This is his first podium in dry weather since he also finished second in Australia in 2022. This is his 141st podium in the GP class, 11 behind the number of podiums from MotoGP legend Jorge Lorenzo who is fourth on the list of riders with the most podiums in all classes.

With Jorge Martin’s DNF, he only scored 12 points from the sprint and is still leading the racers’ standings even though the gap to Pecco Bagnaia, who scored 25 points from Saturday to Sunday, is now only 17 points. Bastianini is in third position followed by Acosta, Vinales and Marc Marquez. Marc himself is the second racer who collected the most points this weekend, namely 24 points.

Ducati is firmly at the top of the Provisional Manufacturing Standings with 133 points and is 38 points away from KTM, followed by Aprilia in third position. Meanwhile, the slick performance of Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini made them score 36 additional points and remain firmly at the top of the temporary team Klasmeen. In fact, the team with the most points at Jerez was Gresini Racing with 37 points.

Jorge Martin is firmly at the top of the Satellite Racer List, followed by sensational Rookie Pedro Acosta and Marc Marquez.

Meanwhile, for the Klasmeen satellite team itself, Gresini Racing is in second place, overshadowing Pramac Racing with a distance of 11 points between the two teams. The fifth Grand Prix is clear in two weeks’ time at Le Mans – France.
