PECCO BAGNAIA Wins the 2024 Mugello MotoGP Sprint Race

Jorge Martin, who took pole position and set a new Mugello lap time record, started from pole position followed by Bagnaia and Vinales in the front row on the 11 lap Sprint Race MotoGP Mugello 2024 which was held on a dry track with a surface temperature of 43° C. Meanwhile Marc Marquez led second row of the 4th grid. Pecco raced quickly, followed by Martin, while Marc was in 5th position in T1. Bastianini moved up to second place in sector two. Tires generally used are Medium-Soft.

Lap 2 Pecco leads ahead of Martin and Bastianini. Marc moved up to P4 after passing Binder. Oliveira and Quartararo crash
Lap 3 Pecco led 0.4 seconds from Martin. Bastianini crashes after clash with Martin
Lap 4 Pecco leads 0.5 seconds ahead of Martin and Marc, Acosta overtakes Binder and moves up to fourth place
Lap 5 Pecco led by 0.7 seconds from Martin and Marc who were chasing each other
Lap 6 Pecco leads the race by 1 second from Marc and Martin

Lap 7 Pecco was 1.2 seconds ahead of Marc while Martin was already half a second behind Marc
Lap 8 Pecco is getting further away from Marc, now the distance is 1.3 seconds. . . Martin crashes at turn 1!!
Lap 9 Pecco led 0.85 seconds from Marc Marquez followed by Acosta. Vinales overtakes Binder and moves up to 5th position
Lap 10 Pecco led 0.863 seconds from Marc followed 2 seconds later by Acosta.
Lap 11 at the start of this last lap Pecco took the lead by 1 second again from Marc

After 11 laps, Pecco Bagnaia finally won the Tissot Sprint MotoGP Mugello 2024 and gained 12 full points for the championship standings. Pecco’s victory in the MotoGP Sprint race after the last time he won in the 2023 Austrian GP Sprint at the Red Bull Ring circuit, Spielberg.
