As we know, at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show on March 22 2024, Suzuki announced that it would actually participate in the 2024 Suzuka 8 Hours by using various environmentally friendly items. The fuel used by Suzuki this time is 40% bio-derived Elf fuel which is approved by the FIM. Since it is not an official fuel for the FIM World Endurance Championship (EWC), it participates in the “Experimental Class,” an experimental class for developing new technologies.

In this racing project, sponsors: Yoshimura, Bridgestone, Motul, JHI, Truss, Sunstar Giken, and Ellie Power also participated. Each company will provide newly developed items aimed at achieving carbon neutrality and collect data through actual driving. The goal is to get feedback on the product. What are the details?

Check every part of the “GSX-R1000R Yoshimura SERT EWC CN specifications” First, the exhaust is designed based on the Japanese Yoshimura R-11 Cyclone Model, but this time with a catalyst installed inside the silencer. Even though it is a racing exhaust, it is made with the environment in mind.

The fairing uses recycled carbon material (prepreg material) from JHI (formerly Japan Hydro System).

Front and rear fenders made from Swiss Bcomp with frame. It uses an innovative composite material using natural hemp fibers.

The Sunstar brand equips this team with steel brake discs which in the production process are heat treated which halves CO2 emissions Plus low dust brake pads which reduce wear by around 15%.

The tires use Bridgestone with a higher ratio of recyclable and recyclable resources than before.

The battery/battery uses a HY Elii Power Eliiy P series battery “HY93-C”. Lithium iron phosphate, which is not a rare metal, is used as a positive electrode material and does not use lead which has a high environmental impact.

Apart from that, Motul will equip lubricants that use basic ingredients derived from biological sources other than Elf which will supply Elf Moto R40 FIM 40% which includes Bio Fuel.
