In 2025, the Aprilia manufacturer will still use a line up of 4 racers in two teams where these four racers still have the potential to change. One thing that is quite highlighted is the Aprilia Racing Manufacturing team. It’s no longer a secret that the team itself wants to keep the Vinales – Aleix Espargaro duo for 2025. . Vinales has allegedly received several proposals from other manufacturers, while Aleix Espargaro, who is the most senior driver on the grid (34 years old), is considering another option, namely retiring from being a regular driver and making the 2024 season his last season.

Regarding Aleix Espargaro and his potential successor, Massimo Rivola, Aprilia CEO said via Sky: “I really love Aleix Espargarò for everything he has brought to the team. We will make a decision at Mugello. He is still very fit and age is just experience, but if Aleix decides to stop, we will go to the market and look for alternatives. An Italian name would be interesting, there is no specific profile but what is certain is that he must be dedicated to the cause.”

Aleix Espargarò himself also called Mugello the deadline for making a decision regarding his career. He told Marca: “I will decide in these four races, which are legendary and very important circuits, Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello and Barcelona.

“I’m in no rush and neither is Aprilia, I know they will be the last to make a decision. So let’s make a decision. relax and enjoy this race, it is among the best on the calendar. The results, ultimately, give you the power to make decisions.

” I’m a person with no filter, I could have kept my mouth shut but I said what I thought: I don’t know if I will continue. So it’s natural for other racers and Aprilia itself to move. They can’t wait until the end of the season in October. The bike is still a factory bike, and one of the best. “

Until now, there are several names that are very likely to be on the Aprilia manufacturer’s radar if Aleix retires. Jorge Martin and Bastianini can fill a place in one slot for the 2025 Aprilia Factory Team, especially if Marc Marquez displaces them from the 2025 Ducati red team.

Wow, if Aprilia really wants an Italian on an Italian motorbike and an Italian team, even though Martin has a special closeness and friendship with Aleix which makes it possible to get closer to Aprilia Racing, Enea Bastianini might be the ideal choice for them.
