The starting grid for the 2024 Jerez MotoGP class racers this weekend is certain to increase in number after being confirmed by the presence of three Test Riders who took part in the wild card at the Angel Nieto Circuit. These three Wild Card entries have been announced for the first time by KTM, which represents Dani Pedrosa.

Dani’s Jerez 2023 Wild Card Entry a year ago could be said to be very positive in terms of Pedrosa’s own performance and development input from the KTM RC16. At that time Pedrosa led free practice, qualified on the second row in qualifying and finished sixth (Sprint) and seventh (Grand Prix) in the race.

It is estimated that in his appearance this time at Jerez, Dani will make an appearance while presenting the results of the advanced development of the carbon fiber chassis, which made Pedrosa almost on the podium in both races last year. Rich in detail, this is definitely something worth looking into further. . Regarding the engine, it is 100% guaranteed that the specifications will be the same as those used by Miller, Binder and Acosta.

Meanwhile, Aprilia and Honda have confirmed that their respective test riders, Lorenzo Savadori and Stefan Bradl, will also compete at Jerez, increasing the grid to 25 riders. Jerez is a popular event for wild card participants because the factory test riders are already familiar with the circuit and this circuit is often chosen as a private testing event as well as official post-race testing.

MotoGP regulations allow a maximum of three wild cards in each Grand Prix round with entries that must have been communicated/registered several months in advance. . So it’s not the end, bro. Ducati is the only manufacturer currently unable to apply for a wild card due to its ‘A’ rating in the new concession format.
